Molly Brook Massage Therapy provides services that are both therapeutic and relaxing. 

At the basic level, massage therapy deals with musculo-skeletal pain and injuries, tension, muscular discomfort from misalignment, strains and sprains, muscle imbalance and tightness, neck and back pain, reduction in inflammation, increase in blood flow and restore movement in large and small joints.

Massage Therapy

Also called prenatal massage, pregnancy massage is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers.  Being certified in pregnancy massage, the massage therapist knows the proper way to position and support the woman’s body during the massage and how to modify techniques.  Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety.  The massage is customized to a woman’s individual needs.

Infant massage (baby massage) is the process of rubbing an infants muscles and stroking the infant in a manner specifically designed for them. Even though there are professionally trained and certified infant massage therapists, the first choice to massage the baby is the parents or caregiver of the child. Not only does the infant receive a caring touch, massage can also trigger many psychological changes that can help infants and children grow and develop.

Infant massage can help to reduce the production of stress hormones, improve immune system, helps to promote bonding and communication between the infant and care-giver, promotes sleep, helps to regulate digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems, as well as relieve discomfort from gas and colic.

This is a session where the baby is massaged by the Massage Therapist, while one caregiver is present throughout the treatment. The treatment Must be booked under the Child's name

Infant Massage

Assisted Stretching therapy is a bodywork modality designed to allow a trained therapist to apply Range-of-Motion movements to the body on a massage table, while keeping the spine in a safe and supported position. The therapist is able to move the body into positions that can break through hard fascial barriers that may have resulted from injury or a sedentary lifestyle, to gain flexibility and range of motion that would be impossible without assisted intervention.

The therapist uses a variety of stretching techniques during an assisted stretching session

Resisted stretching
Active stretching
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching
Passive stretching
Ballistic stretching
Because each body is different, as is each person’s treatment goals, the combination of stretching techniques applied during treatment may differ according to personal need and ability.

This one-hour session teaches you how to do a full body massage routine for your infant, as well as address any concerns you may have concerning common childhood ailments.
Both parents are encouraged to attend so that you may both deepen your bond with your baby.

Infant Massage - One on One Session

This is a 4-week class where caregivers learn how to safely and skillfully provide massage for their infant.

Even though there are professionally trained and certified infant massage therapists, the first choice to massage the baby is the parents or caregiver of the child. Cost for this class is $50.00 per infant.

Each Class is 60 min in duration and is held on-site one day per week.
